DR MICHAEL JONES
CARDIOLOGIST- CARDIAC ELECTROPHYSIOLOGIST
Dr Michael Jones is a graduate of the University of Melbourne, having undertaken advanced cardiology
training at the Monash Medical Centre, and St Vincent’s hospital, Sydney. He subsequently pursued
subspecialty training in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac device implantation at the Royal Jubilee
Hospital, British Columbia, Canada, and then the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, United Kingdom, where
he gained further experience in complex ablation, and also conducted clinical research studies in ablation,
and cardiac resynchronisation device therapy.
Dr Jones also performs a broad range of electrophysiology procedures and device implantation, with a
particular interest in atrial fibrillation ablation, and cardiac device implantation and follow up (pacemakers,
cardiac defibrillators, and implantable loop recorders). Dr Jones consults at The Linacre private hospital,
Penninsula private hospital, the Beleura private hospital, the Bayside Specialist centre Patterson Lakes,
and he performs procedures at the Cabrini, Epworth, and Penninsula private hospitals.
