Dr Mark Nolan is a non-invasive cardiologist with a particular interest in cardio-oncology, advanced cardiac imaging and the detection of cardiac dysfunction associated with cancer treatment.

He completed his cardiology training in Canberra and has undertaken advanced fellowship training in echocardiography in South Australia, as well as Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CT and Cardio-Oncology fellowships in Canada.

Dr Nolan has a strong interest in caring for patients with cardiovascular disease throughout and following cancer treatment. His clinical and research interests focus particularly on the use of advanced cardiac imaging techniques, including echocardiography, to detect and monitor the effects of cancer therapeutics on the heart.

He is nearing completion of his PhD, with research focused on the use of echocardiography in the management of heart disease in patients with cancer. His cardio-oncology research has been published in leading national and international journals, including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Cardiovascular Imaging, The American Journal of Cardiology, the Canadian Journal of Cardiology and the Internal Medicine Journal.

Dr Nolan also holds Level 3 Cardiac CT verification through the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
